Erika Winston, LMT, was originally trained as a professional tennis player and always had this fascination with alignment and the flow of energy. She received her license in Massage Therapy in 2006 and then, continued on with advanced trainings to further her knowledge and skill in Orthopedic massage, CranioSacral Therapy and Sports Massage. She obtained her Reiki Master level in 2007 and considers this modality a type of ‘energy medicine’.
Erika recently extended her skills into Structural Integration following the teachings of Tom Myers. In Structural Integration the focus is on realignment and reorganization of the body as a whole system. Mr. Meyers refers to this modality as ‘Spatial Medicine’. Erika graduated from the KMI (Kinesis Myofascial Integration) program in 2013 and experienced a profound shift in her own structural alignment and consciousness. She knew that this method of healing could be a significant opportunity to help clients with chronic pain, habitual pain patterns, postural issues, rebalancing energy and injuries. Every session is designed and structured specifically for the client’s need. Essentially, the KMI process enables the body to regain the natural integrity of its form, thus enhancing postural efficiency, freedom/ease of movement and energetic balance.
Erika also worked with professional athletes at the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) international tournaments and the U.S. Women’s National Soccer team training camps. She also enriches her knowledge and depth of skill by taking advanced continuing education courses and workshops.
Erika’s vision is to help facilitate healing and increase awareness by addressing the divine alignment of the client. She respects and honors the expansion, consciousness and connection that evolves from bodywork.
