Research has indicated that certain mood disorders (e.g. depression) can be triggered or the efficacy of associated clinical therapy can be retarded by allergies. Mood disorder patients will be strongly encouraged to have a broad allergy test conducted before treatment commences. If such tests indicate an allergic connection to the disorder, it is anticipated that allergists and/or clinical dietitians will assist in developing the treatment regimen.
